I adore exploring cities. I adore good art. I adore when I can combine those two joys.
You know, thinking on it… maybe I should start a tour company where I take people around to see interesting street art… or maybe make a book of the interesting street art that I’ve seen? I mean, I can only think of fifty million similar books, so it’s got to be a good market… right?
Yeah no. I’m just going to continue enjoying exploring, enjoying the beauty, and enjoying the raw and amazing creativity that people have.
All the cities I visited on the Grand Adventure had amazing art – and Dublin is no different. Enjoy!
Which… I’m pretty sure is an inaccurate translation by Google, since I’m like 90% sure that just translates to “museum Magritte museum”. This is the future, though, and so I cede my expectations to the whims of our AI overlords, and I’m just gonna dive right into pictures from the museum.
So… yeah.
I went through this one pretty quickly. I was already fairly saturated with museuming after the primary art museum, surrealism isn’t really my thing, and… well, it’s a museum dedicated completely to a single artist, and that gets a little bit dull after the first five rooms.
Don’t get me wrong – I’m in awe of the cultural impact that he had! And some of the paintings were really cool! But… yeah.
You know, I’m starting to think that I enjoy seeing art museums.
I know, I know, it’s a crazy hypothesis, but hear me out. I went to another one! In Brussels this time!
Seriously though, I really have enjoyed all the art museums that I’ve been able to explore on this grand adventure. I’ve loved seeing the amazing scenery, the expressions of culture, and slowly seeing the connections between pieces and places… I mean, when I was in Warsaw and saw a piece about the same war that I’d just seen in Stockholm, but from the other side of the conflict?
Yeah, it was really cool.
Brussels was no different – the art museum was amazing, and fully recommended. It’s actually split into multiple galleries, which meant that I was able to focus my attention a bit on continuing my tradition of seeing awesome old art and beautiful landscapes with pretty lighting.
Yay landscapes and lighting!
I… uhh… don’t know what else to write here. I like art museums. I hope you like my photos of paintings of landscapes?
