As you, dear reader, may have heard… I’m heading out from the United States onto an adventure. Part of the planning process that I may have mentioned is coordinating where to store my various possessions that I’m not keeping, but that haven’t been sold quite yet… and figuring out where I’ll stay after I finish moving out of my apartment.

Thankfully, a friend of mine has offered to help out with both of those conundrums! She has a second room available where she’s living, with quite a bit of extra space… and, has some spare time to help sell off things! We’ve agreed to split the profits, and I can crash there for the few days between leaving my apartment and hopping on a plane for my grand adventure.

As part of the planning process, we got waffles and watched the peacocks that roost near her house.

They were delicious and pretty, respectively. Also loud – if you haven’t heard a peacock’s call, it’s very loud. And… almost like a cat’s meow?

But dang the waffles were delicious, and the peacocks were pretty!
