Over the last few months I’ve been pushing up the weights that I’ve been lifting, in preparation for being away from the gym for a few months.
I started this deadlifting 95lbs for 4 reps – I was still working on my recovery from those knee and back injuries, and at the time I was damn proud of that 95lbs.
Now, with my final session in view before leaving the States, I pulled my heaviest yet – 245lbs, for 2 reps! Slow and steady, over six months of progressively heavier and heavier weights… I’d say that’s worth a little bit of an accolade to myself.
